Whenever there is a festival, concert or anything else going on on Virginia Avenue, all of the parking spaces are taken by people going to these events.
A sign in the lot says it's only be used by church members, but some people are so self-centered they figure it's not for them. Don't get me wrong, I frequent restaurants and other things on Virginia Avenue and I don't want people to not have a good time. But stop being so rude and let us park while we are at church.
There are a lot of elderly people who have to walk blocks to get to church when they can't find a place to park. Some of them just leave because that can't walk that far. This morning, I sent the following email to Sens. Todd Young and Mike Braun and Rep. Susan Brooks:. Since my email, we have witnessed the president stand on the South Lawn and declare his desire that China also investigate his political rivals. We now know that in a June phone call with President Xi, he did exactly that. We have read appalling text messages of State Department officials which make clear the pressure put on Ukraine not only to investigate political rivals, but also to claim that Ukraine, not Russia, meddled in our election. One must be willing to suspend all reason and common sense to conclude that this amounted to anything other than a quid pro quo for desperately needed financial aid and a meeting with the president.
If we are to remain a free and proud country, our leaders and citizens must have the moral clarity to put political bickering aside and say together: Mr. President, this shall not stand. Enough is enough. Support impeachment now. Have something to say? Submit a letter to the editor. Why do Democrats openly hate our president? The Democratic Party has done nothing the last two and a half years except practice that hatred. President Trump has accomplished numerous things during his tenure: the lowest unemployment rate for blacks and whites in years; a wonderful stock market advance; a burgeoning economy; and he is helping to bring our troops home.
